Today we decided to visit Gigi and Papa since the boys hadn't seen them in a while (and this was Charlie's first visit to their house!). Papa stayed home from work for a while so he could see the boys, and of course he had to play with Carter as soon as we got there :)
We ate lunch at one of my favorite places - Seafood World (yes, it's as greasy as it sounds, but so good!). After lunch, we went to the fire station to see if Cousin Robbie was working (he's the fire chief of Concord). He was working, and glad to see us - he let Carter climb all over everything! At first though, Carter was very timid and didn't want Papa to put him down.
He quickly got over it, and started climbing all over the trucks. He even went on top of the ladder truck and we had to force him down before he got too high! We couldn't get him to sit inside the trucks though, and when Robbie told him he could wear his helmet, he wouldn't do that either and said, "that's too dirty!!!" Ha! It was a fun experience, and Robbie told him to come back anytime - maybe we'll take him up on that!

After we got back to Gigi and Papa's house, Papa had to go to work, and Nan came down for a visit. We had a fun afternoon playing with blocks, puzzles, stickers, cars, etc. Carter also made Gigi take him to play in their fifth wheel - he LOVES their trailer for some reason and always wants to go play there. I think Gigi and Papa should take him on their next camping trip (hint, hint) ;)
Papa brought dinner home - my favorite BBQ from Rabbit's! Carter wanted to wear an apron so he could help Gigi make tea and set the table. Ha! He fell asleep in the car just before 7:00 - I'm a little worried about what time he'll wake up tomorrow... Charlie is wide awake though, and so glad to see Daddy, who is finally back home after being away all week. Welcome home, Daddy - we missed you!
I'm off to clean up the house after a wild week! WAR EAGLE!!!
