Fay, Fay Go Away!

We reached another milestone today... Alan had to leave this morning for Toronto, so today was my first full day with both kids by myself. It was very tiring, but I'm proud to say we made it! We couldn't go outside or anywhere really, because of all this stinkin' rain from Fay. I think Fay has lingered too long and worn out her welcome!

How sad - look at all the water on the playset :( Maybe we can play outside again soon...

Carter did art projects this morning with paint. We used finger paint this time, and he was a little scared to get his hands too messy! He kept wanting to wipe them after every time, but then he finally gave in and just made a mess :)

Look at this smiley face he made all by himself - he even gave it some hair!

Tomorrow is Carter's first day of school - he's going to Mother's Day Out at our church, which is just two days a week. We had an open house night tonight to meet the teachers, other kids, etc. We were excited to learn that in addition to Drew, another one of his friends, Samantha from his old school, will be in his class! Carter also had such a good time with Mrs. Jennifer, our neighbor and one of his teachers. I think he's going to have a great time in his new school!

Carter is in bed (hopefully asleep) and Charlie is just now waking up after a 10 minute nap - ha! He's been very fussy all day, probably because the coffee I drank this morning didn't sit well on his tummy :( Looks like we're in for a fun night :)
