The Great Outdoors

Alan is on hiatus from work right now while their contract is being worked out, so we have decided to take several small day trips. Earlier this week, we went to Oak Mountain - not too far from where we live. We drove around and looked at everything before we went to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. They didn't have very many animals, but it was fun to look at everything anyway. When we saw the owl in its enclosure (behind windows/walls/etc), Charlie clung to Alan for dear life!

After that, we stopped at a park to let the children play. It wasn't a big impressive park, but the kids had fun for a few minutes. It was such a beautiful day and we were just so excited to be outdoors!

After the park, we went to the farm/petting zoo. There are so many interesting animals, and they are all so friendly! Charlie didn't know what to think at first, but he quickly warmed up to everything.

This little guy was there to greet us when we first arrived, and he followed us around while we were there :)

Looks like lots of fun! Those animals at the petting zoo are so funny...they always follow us around! Especially that goat! He must be part of the welcoming committee! :) Glad you got to enjoy the nice weather...
