After dinner, we all walked over to the concert venue. Before we all went separate ways, we had to get some group shots.
You can't tell, but I'm wearing my cowboy boots.
While we were there, we learned that we could buy tickets for the Zac Brown Band's concert next month for a very low price, so we were very excited to do that. However, the ATM ran out of money and none of us had enough cash. We tried several times to find a way to get the tickets but ran out of luck. Sometime in between acts, Alan disappeared after telling me he was going to get a Diet Coke. We were very close to a concession stand, so it should not have taken long. Well, he kept not appearing and Tim McGraw had already taken the stage and had sung several songs and I was getting worried. Text messages and phone calls weren't being answered, so we didn't know what to do. He FINALLY returned a long time later and do you know what he did? He stood at the front of the line and debited everyone's drinks so they would give him cash. He provided his own ATM service - ha! That's my sweet, creative and resourceful hubby :) So yes, we have tickets for next month!
We had a great time and it was a good concert. It wasn't a very "showy" concert or as super-entertaining as some, but both acts did a great job. After we were done, we walked back to our truck. Only, there was no truck. The Mexican restaurant where we ate had been packed, so we had parked next door at Krystal's without really thinking anything. When we got back, there were NO cars in their parking lot, as everyone had been towed. The towing company was a little too far to walk, especially that late at night, so we didn't know what to do... We tried calling some of our close friends (you can only call really good friends that late at night, anyway), but we had trouble getting in touch with anyone. Finally, Ben (Jonathan's brother-in-law) came to get us, took us by an ATM (we had to have cash to get the truck out) and we were on our way. What a great way to end the night ;)
