The week after Christmas, we met Gigi and Papa at the McWane Center for some fun in their Winter Wonderland before the exhibit closed. They did not want to play in the “snow,” and I think this is as close as we got…
Carter loves these pulley and conveyor belt systems…
Their favorite -
Fun digging for dinosaur bones…
Gigi and Carter raced from the dinosaurs. My camera didn’t capture the screen behind them, but Gigi seemed to always win…
The “ice” slide wasn’t quite what I expected… However, it was a really big, fun slide, so that’s ok in Carter’s book. Charlie chickened out at the last minute.
I had packed all the boys’ stuff to stay with Gigi and Papa for the weekend, and after we got everything moved into their car, we discovered a dead battery. Uh-oh! So, we spent some time trying to figure out what to do (there were cars all around them – no room for me to park next to them to use jumper cables). We ended up going to Goodyear and buying a new battery, borrowing some tools, and Papa replaced the battery. About the time he was finished, the car next to him moved. Ha!
Carter and Charlie wanted to help – they are good little mechanic’s helpers. Because of the amount of time spent replacing the battery, we ended up moving everything back to my car and the boys came home instead. Hopefully they can visit another weekend, as both of them (including Charlie) couldn’t stop talking about going to Gigi and Papa’s house for the entire weekend!
