Charlie is changing daily and starting to do all the age-appropriate things we've been waiting on. He now has 3 teeth, and another one on the way. His teething is much different than Carter's... Carter would just wake up with teeth - no issues to speak of. Charlie has been drawing out this teething thing for weeks! Lots of terrible diapers, drooling, fussiness, etc. He's also babbling - a LOT. He's really trying to talk and has said a few words (light, dada, puppy, papa, and I swear he said towel when he was digging through the towel drawer). Once he says a word though, he really won't repeat it, but I know it's in his brain somewhere! Carter was like that also... We might not hear some of his words again for another few months, after he had said them the first time. And look how much he talks now - haha!
Charlie is just about ready to walk, but he's being so very cautious. He can stand for about 30 seconds without holding onto anything (possibly longer, I haven't timed it). He's also getting a little braver with his cruising, and reaching further between pieces of furniture. He's a very cautious child though, compared to Carter. When Daddy holds him up in the air, he looks scared and clings on for dear life. With Carter, the higher, the better - he's our risk taker!

Check out these Auburn sneakers - they are squeaky shoes :)

Speaking of Carter... We are SO ready for school to start back! I don't know how much more either of us can take of the other for such long periods of time :) He is my sweet, precious boy, but man, we have had some discipline issues this week! Momma is TIRED!
Oh, and Charlie has been throwing a few temper tantrums... I was hoping we could skip that stage! Although his are kind of funny. He leans back on one arm, kind of like a supermodel pose, and sometimes he rolls over onto his stomach like he's going to pound his fists and feet, but he never really does. He just flails a little and then he's done. A few days ago he did this because he discovered water in his sippy cup and not chocolate milk or juice.

We went to Carter's old school for an open house/reunion last weekend. They had lots of fun things to do - I was impressed! We even won a prize (gift card and stainless coffee mug)! Carter was so excited to go, but when we got there he was very shy and clingy. He finally warmed up to Drake (he had been asking about Drakie the whole time) and they jumped together.
And finally for now, a picture of the mini HS reunion I mentioned previously... Starting from the left: Cheryl, Me, Audra, and Christine (aka Chris)
