Give Thanks

The week before Thanksgiving, the boys' school had their annual Thanksgiving program. The babies and toddler classes go first, then the 3-year-olds, and finally the 4-year-olds (with so many children, they can't all fit on the stage at once). Charlie has only been going to school 1 day a week there (for 4 hours), and he's missed a couple of weeks here and there. So, I was so surprised that he knew the moves to his songs and did a great job! He had so much fun on the stage, and we discovered that he loves the song, "If You're Happy and You Know It..." He does all the motions, and LOVES the part where your face will surely show it :)

After Charlie's group was done, it was Carter's turn. Wow. Last year, Carter sang ALL the songs, did all the motions, etc. This year, he stood there. And the longer he stood there, the lower he pulled his hat down over his face. At the end, all you could see was a big Pilgrim hat on top of a body. We NEVER thought Carter would ever be shy, but he's certainly starting to get a lot of shyness lately. Thanks, Gigi, Papa, and Cheryl for coming to watch Charlie perform and look at a hat on Carter's body!

For Thanksgiving this year, we went to Nana and Pawpaw's. We went over on Wednesday and spent the night (Eli and Brandy spent the night also) and ate an early Thanksgiving dinner. The next day, we went to Mike and Janie's house for another delicious meal with the whole big family. We really enjoy the big family gatherings. I hope my house is filled with people and traditions like that when my children are grown up!

Charlie is so smart...knowing all the motions to the song! And Carter - what's up with being so shy? He's even shy toward me...Ms. Colly! :) Sweet boys...
