Paying homage

After Auburn won the National Championship this year, we decided to take the boys down to Auburn to do some “Auburnish” things. We were unable to go to the actual celebration day, so we went on MLK day, since Alan had the day off. It was a good decision – campus was NOT crowded at all! Unfortunately, it was rainy and yucky most of the day, so we didn’t get to do much walking around like we had hoped. We ate at our favorite restaurants and took some pictures in front of Samford Hall. We also went to Anders and bought a few shirts, and Carter picked out a new cap with Aubie on it. We did a lot of driving around and looking at familiar sights. It’s fun to reminisce sometimes…

Carter and his “hoopty” straw, as he called it.

At Mellow Mushroom, Carter did not want pizza. Instead, he got a sandwich that had sprouts, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, etc. Yes, he’s definitely my child!

Because of all the rain, we decided to go to a local jumpy place and let the boys play for a while. I think that was the highlight of the trip for them. Hopefully we can go back soon when the weather is nice!
